Communities

Connected Urban Development has a core aim to deliver scalable technology solutions to provide practical solutions to climate change, and the trends towards global urbanization. The participation of CUD in online communities forms a crucial medium to the delivery of this aim. Currently, CUD is engaged in the following forums, in Cisco, between the Cities in the program, and in external online communities;

CUD Community Forum

The delivery of a collaboration platform for the CUD Cities is part of Cisco's commitment to the CUD Program. To this end, Cisco has provided a Cisco Webex online collaboration environment to promote sharing across the Cities within the program, and to enable program activities to be shared across Cisco, the Cities and other CUD partners.

A 'Cities Planning Dashboard' for the CUD Solutions Toolkit, Cities project updates, and milestones deliverables is a prime application of this 'CUD Online Community Forum'.

This operates in a secure, online format where membership will be limited to the Cities core CUD team, and other extended members of the respective organizations, as appropriate.

The Connected Republic

TheConnectedRepublic.org is a community space, developed by Cisco's Internet Business Solutions Group. The aim is to create a space where people with ideas can meet, share their thinking and link up with each other.

CUD related blogs, and forum discussions feature throughout the discussions;
